White Cross Ambulance of Brescia in 1919
Three ambulances photographed during a demonstration of the White Cross of Brescia in 1919. The vehicle left is a light truck Fiat Tipo 1 F, as well as probably the central one which has the same twin rear wheels. The one on the right is a Züst 25/35 Hp.
If Fiat were the most common starting point for the construction of ambulances, this does not mean they were the only ones. Even the fact of Milan Bianchi enjoyed some success as a mid-size cars and they were put to any use other than health. Examples are the two ambulances in the first half of the thirties of these pages. In this we see a White S5 Red Cross, set up by Schieppati two stretchers with central overlapping, you may also notice the two seats for the rescue workers placed in the opposite direction to the run with their backs to the wall, the sink the right wheel and a cabinet for a minimum allocation of emergency medicine on the left.
